No shocking result in a game in Komarno where fifth ranked Rieker KN (14-12) smashed 7th ranked Iskra Svit (13-15) 93-67 on Wednesday. They outrebounded Iskra Svit 38-26 including 29 on the defensive glass. Rieker KN looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American forward Wayne Langston (201-93, college: Murray St.) had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Slovenian guard Boban Tomic (190-88) chipped in 16 points and 7 assists during the contest. Four Rieker KN players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Israeli center Anton Shoutvin (206-89) with 16 points and 5 rebounds and American point guard Evan Singletary (185-94, college: Albany) scored 15 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Rieker KN maintains fifth position with 14-12 record. Loser Iskra Svit keeps the seventh place with 15 games lost. Rieker KN will meet Nova Ves (#10) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Iskra Svit will play against Nitra and hope to secure a win.
