Important game to mention about took place in Pruszkow. Eleventh ranked Znicz Basket (8-12) saved a 2-point victory at home edging higher ranked GTK Gliwice (13-7) 74-72 on Wednesday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of GTK Gliwice. They outrebounded GTK Gliwice 35-20 including a 29-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was center Damian Cechniak (208-93) who scored 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Adrian Kordalski (185-95) chipped in 13 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Znicz Basket players scored in double figures. Swingman Kacper Radwanski (189-94) produced 16 points and power forward Lukasz Ratajczak (201-86, agency: Promotex) added 19 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Znicz Basket moved-up to tenth place, which they share with SKK Siedlce. Loser GTK Gliwice dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. Znicz Basket will face higher ranked GKS Tychy (#5) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. GTK Gliwice will play against Polonia Leszno and hope to win that game.
