Regular Season Round 27: KTP Basket - Pyrinto 92-72

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Kotka where 8th ranked Tampereen Pyrinto (9-16) was crushed by ninth ranked KTP-Basket (9-16) 92-72 on Wednesday. The game without a history. KTP-Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American Monyea Pratt (196-85, college: Stillman, agency: Court Side) who scored 29 points and 9 assists. His fellow American import guard Daniel Bailey (196-90, college: Queens, NC) chipped in 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Four KTP-Basket players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international Petri Heinonen (207-88) who recorded 14 points and 5 rebounds and American forward J'Nathan Bullock (196-87, college: Cleveland St.) added 7 points and 12 rebounds respectively. KTP-Basket moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Pyrinto. KTP-Basket will meet higher ranked Lapuan Korikobrat (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tampereen Pyrinto will play against BC Nokia and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
