Dominos League top team - Skallagrimur (15-4) added another victory to their record. This time they beat seventh ranked Haukar (5-14) in Hafnarfjordur 61-55. Haukar was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 30-23 second half run of Skallagrimur. They also forced 23 Haukar turnovers. It was a quality performance for the former international power forward Sigrun Amundadottir (181-88) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 13 rebounds and 7 assists. American point guard Tavelyn James (170-90, college: E.Michigan) accounted for 18 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals for the winning side. American guard Breezy Williams (180, college: N.Carolina St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 18 rebounds and forward Rosa Bjork Petursdottir (174-97) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Haukar in the defeat. Skallagrimur have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. Newly promoted Skallagrimur maintains first place with 15-4 record. Haukar lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 14 games lost. Skallagrimur will play against Njardvik (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Haukar will play against Stjarnan and hopes to get back on the winning track.
