Worth to mention about the upset in a game between Thor AK (8-8) and Haukar (6-10), which took place in Hafnarfjordur. Higher ranked Thor AK lost to eleventh ranked Haukar in a road game 72-79 on Friday. Haukar forced 19 Thor AK turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Haukar made 14 blocks. The winners were led by American guard Sherrod Wright (193-91, college: George Mason) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 42 points (!!!) and 12 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) and guard Emil Barja (192-91) supported him with 7 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists.
