ProA top team - Mitteldeutscher BC (19-2) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they beat sixth ranked White Wings (12-9) in Weissenfels 77-61. Mitteldeutscher BC shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 51.9 percentage. The best player for the winners was naturalized American forward Sergio Kerusch (195-89, college: W.Kentucky, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. American point guard Marcus Hatten (185-80, college: St.John's) chipped in 10 points and 6 assists. Four Mitteldeutscher BC players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Kruize Pinkins (203-93, college: USF) who recorded 10 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Till-Joscha Joenke (193-92) added 9 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Mitteldeutscher BC have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 19-2 record. Loser White Wings keep the sixth position with nine games lost. Mitteldeutscher BC will meet at home Gladiators (#7) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. White Wings will play against Oettinger Rockets Gotha and hope to secure a win.
