Regular Season Round 12: Aisin AW - Fukuoka Rizing 69-78

Rather predictable result when first ranked Fukuoka Rizing (20-2) won against 5th ranked Aisin AW (10-12) in Aichi 78-69 on Saturday. Aisin AW trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 19-17 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 69-78 at the end of the game. Fukuoka Rizing forced 24 Aisin AW turnovers. Aisin AW was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for Ghanian-British forward Matthew Bryan-Amaning (205-88, college: Washington) who led his team to a victory with 31 points and 9 rebounds. American center Brian Butch (211-84, college: Wisconsin) contributed with 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Guard Kyouhei Kumazawa (180-88) replied with 23 points and guard Michinari Oose (180-89) added 15 points in the effort for Aisin AW. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Fukuoka Rizing have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 20-2 record. Aisin AW lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 12 games lost. Fukuoka Rizing will face Tokyo HT (#4) at home in the next round.
