Very predictable result in Dabrowa Gornicza where third ranked Polonia Bytom (17-4) smashed 12th ranked MKS DG 2 (4-16) 75-53 on Saturday. Polonia Bytom dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to MKS DG 2's 24. Polonia Bytom forced 22 MKS DG 2 turnovers. Emil Podkowinski (194-88) scored 21 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Tomasz Gembus (197-87) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side point guard Adam Skiba (182-99) responded with 10 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Maciej Kocma (186-97) scored 11 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Polonia Bytom have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position in Group C with 17-4 record having just one point less than leader R8 Basket Krk. MKS DG 2 lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 16 games lost. Polonia Bytom will face Rybnik (#6) at home in the next round.
