There was no surprise when 16th ranked Firenze Enic (5-14) lost on the road to ninth ranked Varese Robur (9-9) 61-52 on Saturday. It was a very good performance for point guard Marco Santambrogio (188-88) who helped to win the game recording 14 points. The former international point guard Federico Bolzonella (184-84) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Swingman Giovanni Rugolo (196-81, agency: Players Group) answered with 22 points (made all of his seven free throws) and guard Diego Terenzi (191-95) added 7 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Firenze Enic. Varese Robur maintains ninth place in B with 9-9 record. Newly promoted Firenze Enic dropped to the fourteenth position with 14 games lost. Varese Robur will face Oleggio (#14) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Firenze Enic will play against the league's leader Omegna having rather not much hope for a victory.
