Regular Season Round 13: Olympiacos - Kronos AD 80-49

Undefeated leader Olympiacos delivered the thirteenth consecutive victory. This time they crushed 11th ranked Kronos AD (2-11) 80-49 in Ellinikou. Olympiacos dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Kronos AD's 30. Olympiacos forced 24 Kronos AD turnovers and outrebounded them 43-32 including 32 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Kronos AD's players. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international swingman Olga Chatzinikolaou (181-81, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who helped to win the game recording 7 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international forward Styliani Kaltsidou (188-83, agency: Josep and Nicolas) contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Australian forward Alex Sheedy (185-92, college: Fresno St.) answered with 14 points and 5 rebounds and Sofia Kyriakopoulou added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Kronos AD. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Olympiacos (13-0) have an impressive series of thirteen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with a perfect record of 13 victories in a row. Kronos AD lost third consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 11 games lost. Olympiacos will play against Niki Lefkadas (#4) on the road in the next round. Kronos AD will play against Dafni Agioy (#6) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
