There was no surprise in Bamberg where 15th ranked s Oliver Baskets (5-14) were defeated by second ranked Brose Baskets (18-1) 88-78 on Sunday. Brose Baskets made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. International Daniel Theis (204-92, agency: Octagon Europe) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 6 blocks (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) for the winners and international guard Maodo Lo (191-92, college: Columbia) chipped in 17 points and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was the former international point guard Maurice Stuckey (187-90) with 18 points and 6 rebounds and American Lamonte Ulmer (198-86, college: Rhode Island, agency: HMS) scored 12 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Brose Baskets have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion maintains second place with 18-1 record behind leader Ratiopharm. s Oliver Baskets lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with 14 games lost.
