Regular Season Round 19: Valmontone - Scauri 69-65

Very predictable result when third ranked Valmontone (16-3) won against at home 10th ranked Scauri (8-10) 69-65 on Sunday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Valmontone forced 20 Scauri turnovers. It was a very good performance for the former international power forward Luca Bisconti (206-82) who helped to win the game recording 24 points and 6 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). Guard Antonio De Fabritiis (189-90) contributed with 9 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Forward Luca Antonietti (198-94, agency: Octagon Europe) answered with 15 points and 9 rebounds and naturalized Argentinian point guard Dante Richotti (180-85) added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Scauri. Four Scauri players scored in double figures. Valmontone keeps a position of B leader, which they share with Bergamo and Orzinuovi GaGa. Loser Scauri dropped to the eleventh place with ten games lost. Valmontone will face Forli Tigers (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Scauri will play against the league's second-placed Palestrina (#2) and hope to win that game.
