Los Leones topped CDU Catolica to advance into the next round of playoffs. It looked good early as Universidad Catolica took a 1-point small lead at the end of first quarter. But then Los Leones had a 25-12 second period charge getting the lead and Universidad Catolica was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 71-86. American DeAndre Coleman (201-86, college: S.Alabama, agency: DTMones) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international Darrol Jones (193-94) contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Brandon Crawford (201-84, college: Albion) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds and the former international swingman Jose-Ignacio Collao (194-87) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Universidad Catolica. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Universidad Catolica's coach rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to rest.
