There was no surprise in Leverkusen where 10th ranked Fraport Skyliners II (6-11) was defeated by fourth ranked Bayer Giants (12-6) 98-81 on Sunday. Bayer Giants made 26-of-32 free shots (81.3 percent) during the game. Bayer Giants outrebounded Fraport Skyliners II 46-30 including a 30-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Fraport Skyliners II's players. The best player for the winners was American guard Kerry Carter (188-91, college: St.Mary's, CA) who scored 26 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Swingman Tim Schonborn (193-90) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. Bayer Giants' coach Achim Kuczmann used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest.
