Regular Season Round 18: Pau-Lacq-Orthez - Chalon 95-88

The game between Top Four teams took place in Pau. Third ranked host Pau-Lacq-Orthez (13-5) defeated second-best Chalon/Saor (13-5) 95-88. Chalon/Saor was trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 31-23 charge of Pau-Lacq-Orthez, which allowed them to win the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Chalon/Saor's players. American point guard D.J. Cooper (183-90, college: Ohio) scored 17 points and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners and point guard Elie Okobo (191-97) chipped in 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American swingman Cameron Clark (201-91, college: Oklahoma) with 33 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds and center Moustapha Fall (218-92) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 11 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Pau-Lacq-Orthez have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Chalon. Pau-Lacq-Orthez is looking forward to face Entente Orleans 45 (#15) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Chalon/Saor will play against Cholet Basket (#17) and is hoping to win this game.
