Regular Season Round 16: Koroivos - Panathinaikos 55-76

Very expected game when 11th ranked Koroivos (5-11) was crushed at home by second ranked Panathinaikos (15-1) 76-55. The game without a history. Panathinaikos led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Panathinaikos outrebounded Koroivos 42-31 including 33 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for the former international Nikos Pappas (194-90) who helped to win the game recording 9 points and 5 rebounds. Italian swingman Alessandro Gentile (200-92) contributed with 12 points for the winners. Serbian swingman Andreja Milutinovic (199-90) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Devonta Pollard (203-94, college: Houston) added 13 points in the effort for Koroivos. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Panathinaikos have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Olympiacos. Koroivos at the other side keeps the eleventh place with 11 games lost. Panathinaikos' next round opponent will be Kymis (#12) on the road which should be another easy win for them. Koroivos will play against Doxa Lefkadas and hope to win that game.
