Regular Season Round 22: Quimper - GET Vosges 70-63

An interesting game for Quimper UJAP (17-5) which hosted in Quimper 4th ranked GET Vosges (14-8). First ranked Quimper UJAP managed to get a 7-point victory 70-63. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of GET Vosges. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 23-12 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Quimper UJAP made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 GET Vosges turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Kevin Mondesir (204-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. American forward Dwight Burke (202-86, college: Marquette) contributed with 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Burke is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Quimper UJAP players scored in double figures. Quimper UJAP's coach Laurent Foirest used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Masse Doumbe (203-87, college: Kaiser) replied with 15 points and 6 rebounds and swingman Steven Ricard (200-90) added 11 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for GET Vosges. Quimper UJAP have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 17-5 record. GET Vosges at the other side dropped to the fifth place with eight games lost. Quimper UJAP are looking forward to face Lourdes-Tarbes (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. GET Vosges will play against Vendee Challans (#14) and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
