Dameligaen top team - Virum (12-2) managed to deliver another win on Wednesday. This time they beat sixth ranked SISU (4-11) in Copenhagen 65-50. The game was mostly controlled by Virum. SISU managed to win fourth quarter 10-8. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 23-of-26 free shots (88.5 percent) during the game, while SISU only scored five points from the stripe. They outrebounded SISU 46-28 including 32 on the defensive glass. American center Valerie Driscoll (193-92, college: Quinnipiac) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 17 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for the winners and forward Nikoline Oestergaard (183-92, college: Quinnipiac) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. Four Virum players scored in double figures. American guard Jazmine Redmon (173-91, college: Gonzaga) responded with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import guard Kama Griffitts (183-91, college: Arizona) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains first place with 12-2 record. SISU at the other side keeps the sixth position with 11 games lost. Virum are looking forward to face Amager (#3) in Kastrup in the next round, which may be the game of the day. SISU will play on the road against the league's second-placed Horsholm and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
