The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Valencia-2's (10-7) home victory over 5th ranked Lliria (9-7) 94-75 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Valencia-2 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Valencia-2 forced 21 Lliria turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Lliria was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for guard Carlos Cerdan (190-97) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Josep Puerto (199-99) helped adding 13 points and 9 rebounds. At the losing side guard Victor Perez (180-90) responded with 20 points and 6 rebounds and center Ruben Ramos (200-94) scored 18 points. Lliria's coach rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the third consecutive win for Valencia-2. They moved-up to third place in Group E, which they share with Cartagena. Loser Lliria keeps the fifth position with seven games lost. Valencia-2 will face L Alfas (#8) in Alfas Del Pi in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Lliria will play at home against Benidorm and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
