Date: February 10, 2017
JNE BSC has finally registered their first victory this season after three consecutive losses. The win is especially important as it came on the road game in Jakarta, where they defeated NSH GMC (2-3) 74-69. NSH GMC was ahead by 7 points after three quarters before a 31-19 charge of JNE BSC, which allowed them to win the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. JNE BSC brought some defensive toughness making 9 blocks. American forward Chris Brand (208-90, college: Lincoln, PA) notched a double-double by scoring 18 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists and 8 blocks to lead the effort and the former international center Ferdinand Damanik (196-88) supported him with 21 points and 5 rebounds. Even a double-double of 24 points and 18 rebounds by American power forward Nate Barfield (206-88, college: Langston) did not help to save the game for NSH GMC. His fellow American import point guard Gary Jacobs (188-92, college: Cent.Washington) added 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. JNE BSC (1-3) left bottom position moving up to eighth place, which they share with Pelita Jaya and Bima Perkasa. NSH GMC at the other side keeps the seventh position with three games lost. JNE BSC's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Bandung Garuda.
