There was a small surprise when thirteenth ranked Namika Lr (4-16) beat on the road 10th ranked Karkkila (6-14) 101-92 on Friday. Karkkila trailed by 17 points after 3 quarters before a 29-21 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 92-101 at the end of the game. They outrebounded Karkkila 42-25 including 28 on the defensive glass. Namika Lr looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a good game for American swingman Reginald Bratton (193-86, college: Lenoir-Rhyne, agency: Blacktop Management) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists. Swingman Anttoni Tapio (193-92) contributed with 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Namika Lr's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Swingman Hannes Koskinen (198-98) replied with 23 points and 8 rebounds and American forward Michael King (201-74, college: Ill.-Chicago) added 23 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Karkkila. Four Namika Lr and five Karkkila players scored in double figures. Namika Lr maintains thirteenth position in Division with 4-16 record. Loser Karkkila keeps the tenth place with 14 games lost. Namika Lr will face higher ranked Raholan Pyrkiva (#6) in Tampere in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
