The game in Zalaegerszeg supposed to be also quite interesting. Fourth ranked Atomeromu (11-3) played at the court of 7th ranked ZTE NKK (7-8). Atomeromu did not have too big problems ending evening with a very confident victory 72-55 on Friday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of ZTE NKK. The game without a history. Atomeromu led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to ZTE NKK's 28. They outrebounded ZTE NKK 31-17 including a 25-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was guard Agnes Studer (169-98, agency: Interperformances) who scored 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Slovenian swingman Maja Erkic (183-85) chipped in 16 points. Four Atomeromu players scored in double figures. International point guard Dora Nagy (170-95) produced 17 points and 4 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and American guard Kirby Burkholder (183-92, college: JMU, agency: Interperformances) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. ZTE NKK's coach tested ten players seeing no chance for a win. Atomeromu maintains fourth place with 11-3 record. Loser ZTE NKK keeps the seventh position with eight games lost. Atomeromu will meet at home Vasas Akademia (#8) in the next round. ZTE NKK will play against PINKK-Pecsi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
