Regular Season Round 19: Arenys - Castellbisbal 75-74

A very interesting game took place in Arenys del Mar. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 7th ranked Castellbisbal (7-9) to sixth ranked Arenys (9-7) 75-74 on Saturday evening. Arenys outrebounded Castellbisbal 43-32 including a 20-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of GMBn forward Omar Toure (199-94) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds. Point guard Pau Ruzafa (180) contributed with 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Guard Felix Lopez (190-85) answered with 21 points and center Gerard Galbete (204-88) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Castellbisbal. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Arenys maintains sixth place in Group C-A with 9-7 record. Castellbisbal lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the eighth position with nine games lost. Arenys' next round opponent will be higher ranked Salt (#5) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Castellbisbal will play against AEC Collblanc and hope to win that game.
