Regular Season Round 19: Mondragon - Venta de Banos 78-71

Everything went according to plan when eleventh ranked Mondragon (7-9) beat at home 15th ranked Venta de Banos (1-14) 78-71 on Saturday. Venta de Banos was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 4-point lead after three quarters before a 25-14 charge of Mondragon, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 31 Venta de Banos turnovers. It was a great evening for point guard Imanol Ceciaga (186-90) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points and 4 assists. Guard Martxel Balanzategui (191-92) helped adding 8 points and 6 rebounds. Mondragon's coach used entire bench saving starting five for next games. At the losing side Daniel Garcia responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 17 rebounds and Estonian Robert Valge (192-97) scored 20 points and 4 assists. Mondragon moved-up to seventh place in Group A-A, which they share with 4 other teams. Venta de Banos lost their tenth game in a row. They keep the fifteenth position with 14 games lost.
