Regular Season Round 19: Sant Adria - Palma II 87-77

We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 5th ranked Palma II (9-7) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Sant Adria (9-7) 87-77 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Sant Adria. Palma II was better in fourth quarter 19-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for point guard Pol Bassas (184-95) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Ruben Perez (181-94) helped adding 17 points. Sant Adria's coach Mario Lousame used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the losing side power forward Carlos Poyatos (207-94) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and forward Llorenc Llompart (198-87) scored 12 points and 7 rebounds. Four Sant Adria and five Palma II players scored in double figures. Sant Adria moved-up to fifth place in Group C-B, which they share with defeated Palma II. Sant Adria will face Castelldefels (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Palma II will play against the league's leader Quart (#1) and hope to win that game.
