Regular Season Round 20: Kongsberg - Gimle BBK 77-82

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Kongsberg (20-3) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by fifth ranked Gimle BBK (14-10) 82-77. It ended at the same time the 14-game winning streak of Kongsberg. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 26-22. But Kongsberg won second period 19-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American guard Nick Victor (196-92, college: Yale) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 8 rebounds. Swingman Magne Fivelstad (198-89, college: Barry) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Cuban-American guard Juan Ferrales (188-91, college: Barry) replied with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and Croatian guard Tomislav Gabric (198-91, college: Ft.Hays State) added 17 points in the effort for Kongsberg. Five Gimle BBK and four Kongsberg players scored in double figures. Gimle BBK moved-up to fourth place. Kongsberg at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. Gimle BBK will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kongsberg will play at home against Asker Aliens and is hoping to win this game.
