Regular Season Round 12: Vardar - Kozuv 73-86

Bottom-ranked Vardar is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 12th consecutive match to fourth ranked Kozuv (7-4) 86-73. The game was mostly controlled by Kozuv. Vardar was better in third quarter 26-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Vardar 38-21 including a 26-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American guard Larry Hall (190-83, college: W.Oregon) who scored 21 points. Serbian-Bosnian forward Nikola Djurasovic (197-83) chipped in 16 points and 8 rebounds. Kozuv's coach Igor Mihajlovski allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American-Nigerian guard Deji Ibitayo (193-93, college: Akron, agency: Mansfield and Associates) who recorded 26 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Damjan Robev (192-97) added 17 points respectively. Kozuv maintains fourth position with 7-4 record. Newly promoted Vardar still closes the standings with 12 games lost. Kozuv's next round opponent will be Ohrid AV (#7) on the road. Vardar will play against Kumanovo and hopes to get finally their first victory.
