United was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 23-18 third quarter run of Perth Wildcats. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. United was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for American swingman Casey Prather (198-91, college: Florida) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 11 assists (made all of his seven free throws). The former international power forward Matthew Knight (204-85, college: Loyola Mary) accounted for 15 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side. Four Perth Wildcats players scored in double figures. American power forward Josh Boone (208-84, college: Connecticut) came up with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field) and the other American import point guard Casper Ware (178-90, college: Long Beach St.) added 27 points and 6 assists respectively for United in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with Hawks and Taipans. United at the other side keeps the sixth position with 15 games lost. They share it with Kings.
