Very predictable result when second ranked Bergamo (17-3) defeated at home 11th ranked Reggio Emilia (8-13) 86-71 on Sunday. Bergamo dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Reggio Emilia's 28. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Rei Pullazi (203-93) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and naturalized Argentinian Mario-Jose Ghersetti (201-81) who added 14 points and 4 assists during the contest. Five Bergamo players scored in double figures. Swingman Gioacchino Chiappelli (195-91) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds and power forward Federico Pugi (206-85) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bergamo have an impressive five-game winning streak. They keep a position of B leader, which they share with Orzinuovi GaGa. Newly promoted Reggio Emilia keeps the eleventh place with 13 games lost. Bergamo will face league's leader Orzinuovi GaGa on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Reggio Emilia will play against Piacenza (#3) and hope to win that game.
