Regular Season Round 19: Krosno - Anwil 78-71

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Anwil (15-7) against fifth ranked Krosno (13-9) on Sunday night. Visiting Anwil was defeated by Krosno in a tough game in Krosno 71-78. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Anwil. It was a great evening for Swedish-American guard Chris Czerapowicz (201-91, college: Davidson) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points and 8 rebounds. American guard Royce Woolridge (190-92, college: Grand Canyon) helped adding 15 points and 6 rebounds. Krosno's coach Michal Baran allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American point guard James Washington (182-87, college: Middle Tenn.St.) responded with 15 points and 4 assists and the other American import forward Toney McCray (196-89, college: Nebraska, agency: Alti Sport) scored 13 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Krosno maintains fifth place with 13-9 record. Anwil at the other side keeps the third position with seven games lost. Krosno will again play against higher ranked Anwil (#3) in Wloclawek in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Anwil will play at home against Energa Czarni and hopes to get back on the winning track.
