Soles outgunned Indios to jump at 2-0 lead in the playoff series. The game was mostly controlled by Soles. Ciudad managed to win fourth quarter 24-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 23-of-26 free shots (88.5 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was naturalized American guard Luke Martinez (193-90, college: Wyoming, agency: Pro Sports) who scored 25 points and 7 rebounds. Venezuelan forward Anthony Perez (206-93, college: Mississippi) chipped in 17 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Four Soles players scored in double figures. American center Leon Gibson (206-91, college: Houston) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and forward Santiago Garay (196-92) added 14 points respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest.
