Regular Season Round 28: Boras - Jamtland 79-93

Date: February 17, 2017
We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 5th ranked Boras Basket (13-12) was defeated at home by sixth ranked KFUM Jamtland (13-12) 93-79. The game was mostly controlled by KFUM Jamtland. Boras Basket was better in third quarter 20-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. KFUM Jamtland made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Boras Basket turnovers. The winners were led by American forward Mike Bruesewitz (201-90, college: Wisconsin) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks and the other American import guard Jabril Durham (185-94, college: Arkansas) supported him with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists. Four KFUM Jamtland players scored in double figures. Even 21 points and 9 rebounds by American forward Trayvonn Wright (201-91, college: N.Dakota St., agency: Mansfield and Associates) did not help to save the game for Boras Basket. Icelandic point guard Jakob Sigurdarson (192-82, college: Birm.Southern) added 23 points for lost side. Boras Basket's coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. KFUM Jamtland moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Boras. KFUM Jamtland will play against Nassjo (#7) at home in the next round. Boras Basket will play against Umea and hopes to get back on the winning track.
