Regular Season Round 7: Jamestown J. - Ohio Bootleggers 98-114

The biggest surprise of round 7 in PBL was guest Bootleggers' (6-4) easy road victory over Jackals (5-5) 114-98 on Friday evening. Bootleggers forced 27 Jackals turnovers. Strangely Jackals outrebounded Bootleggers 51-35 including 36 on the defensive glass. 29 personal fouls committed by Jackals helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Guard Cordaryl Ballard (196-87, college: USC Aiken) fired 30 points for the winners. Forward Brett McKnight (198-89, college: Akron) chipped in 23 points. Forward Christian Davis (190, college: Howard Payne) produced 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and forward Nathanial Hill added 6 points and 19 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Bootleggers and four Jackals players scored in double figures. Jackals' coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Bootleggers moved-up to third place. Jackals at the other side keep the fifth position with five games lost. Bootleggers are looking forward to face league's second-placed Rochester RazorSharks at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Jackals will play against Warhawks in Washington and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
