There was no surprise when 12th ranked Rebels (1-13) were defeated on the road by sixth ranked the Bahamas (8-3) 73-65 on Friday. the Bahamas shot 26 for 38 from the free-throw line, while Rebels only scored seven points from the stripe. the Bahamas forced 42 Rebels turnovers and had a 20-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when the Bahamas made 7 blocks. Justin Smith scored 20 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals to lead the charge for the winners and Kemsy Sylvestre chipped in 15 points and 13 rebounds during the contest. Mekel Rolle responded with 19 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Craig Buchanan (193, college: Florida Atlantic) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. the Bahamas maintains sixth position with 8-3 record.
