Regular Season Round 20: Easo - Pielagos 94-69

Not a big story in a game in San Sebastian where 9th ranked Pielagos (7-10) was outplayed by third ranked Easo (13-4) 94-69 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Easo. Pielagos was better in second period 25-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Pielagos' 32. Easo looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Pielagos' players. The best player for the winners was forward Mikel Esnaola (200-94, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who scored 23 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Inigo Sarasola (207-95) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds. Guard David Garcia (192-80) produced 16 points and naturalized Ukrainian center Volodymyr Orlov (208-95) added 12 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Easo moved-up to second place in Group A-A. Loser Pielagos dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost. Easo will face Santurtzi (#6) at home in the next round. Pielagos will play against TAKE Tolosa and hope to win that game.
