Regular Season Round 20: Art.Dragons - Bernau 66-86

Another interesting game for SSV Lok Bernau (15-5) which played in Quakenbrueck against Artland Dragons (14-6). First ranked SSV Lok Bernau crushed hosts 86-66. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Artland Dragons. It was a key game for the top position in North. They outrebounded Artland Dragons 41-25 including a 33-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. SSV Lok Bernau players were unselfish on offense dishing 22 assists. Artland Dragons were plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of Tim Schneider (208-97) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Pierre Bland (188-92, college: IPFW, agency: Dynamics Global Management) who added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) during the contest. American forward Gregory Graves (201-93, college: Mt.St.Mary's) responded with 20 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized American Chris Frazier (182-90, college: Dubuque) scored 13 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. SSV Lok Bernau have a solid four-game winning streak. Newly promoted SSV Lok Bernau maintains first position in North with 15-5 record. Artland Dragons at the other side keep the second place with six games lost. SSV Lok Bernau will play against RSV Eintracht (#11) in Stahnsdorf in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Artland Dragons will play on the road against Itzehoe (#7) and hope to get back on the winning track.
