Regular Season Round 24: MKS DG 2 - Pogon RS 125-131

There was no surprise in Dabrowa Gornicza where 12th ranked MKS DG 2 (4-18) was defeated by eighth ranked Pogon RS (9-13) 131-125 on Saturday. Pogon RS outrebounded MKS DG 2 75-51 including a 23-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. MKS DG 2 was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was point guard Patryk Jelen (183-90) who scored 26 points and 9 assists. Center Adam Andula (201-87) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points and 16 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Adam Skiba (182-99) who recorded 29 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 9 steals and Lukasz Majchrowski (194-95) added 22 points and 15 rebounds respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. MKS DG 2's coach Wojciech Wieczorek tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Pogon RS maintains eighth position with 9-13 record, which they share with Koscian. MKS DG 2 lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the twelfth place with 18 games lost. Pogon RS will face higher ranked Rybnik (#6) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. MKS DG 2 will play against MCKiS Jaworz. (#4) in Jaworzno and hope to win that game.
