Regular Season Round 20: Leon - Naron 83-64

Date: February 18, 2017
Everything went according to plan when second ranked Leon (13-4) outleveled at home 6th ranked Naron (10-7) 83-64 on Saturday. Leon had a 31-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Leon made 9 blocks. The best player for the winners was American Ted Hinnenkamp (201-93, college: Dickinson, agency: Duran International) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. Guard Jose-Antonio Lopez (190-96) chipped in 19 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Leon players scored in double figures. Leon's coach used entire bench saving starting five for next games. American forward Tim Gill (203-93, college: Clarion) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Matt Stoll (201-92, college: Ferris St., agency: Dynamics Global Management) added 9 points respectively for the guests. They have a solid four-game winning streak. Leon used an opportunity after Chantada lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position in Group A-B. Loser Naron keeps the sixth place with seven games lost. Leon will face Betanzos (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Naron will play against Innova Chef and hope to win that game.
