Very expected game in Madrid where 13th ranked Estudiantes B (5-15) was rolled over by first ranked Real Canoe (17-3) 104-63 on Saturday. The game without a history. Real Canoe led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot 61.4 percent from the field and made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. Real Canoe had a 27-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 65.2 percentage. Real Canoe looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Estudiantes B's players. The best player for the winners was swingman Ruben Martinez (196-85) who scored 23 points and 6 assists (perfect from downtown making all seven shots !!!). Forward Ander Martinez (199-95, agency: Duran International) chipped in 25 points (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!). Five Real Canoe players scored in double figures. Center Bernat Vanaclocha (210-98) produced 17 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and guard Diego Gonzalez (188-96) added 12 points and 5 assists respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Real Canoe have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group B with 17-3 record. Loser Estudiantes B keeps the thirteenth place with 15 games lost. Real Canoe will face Lanzarote (#12) in Arrecife in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Estudiantes B will play at home against Rivas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
