There was no surprise in Valencia where 10th ranked Almassera (2-16) was edged by sixth ranked Paterna (8-10) 69-68 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 18-14 charge, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was guard Victor Arnau (184-91) who scored 21 points. Guard Felix Climent (185-88) chipped in 10 points. Point guard Joaquin Rodenas (186-90) produced 17 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Joan Hernandez (184) added 11 points and 5 assists respectively for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Paterna maintains sixth position in Group E with 8-10 record, which they share with Benidorm and Sagunto. Almassera lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 16 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
