No shocking result in a game when first ranked Estela (16-1) defeated on the road 6th ranked Santurtzi (10-7) 72-58 on Saturday. Santurtzi was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was Pablo Sanchez (198-81) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds. American guard Riley Stockton (192-92, college: Seattle Pacific) chipped in 17 points. Four Estela players scored in double figures. Guard Xabier Martin (186-81) produced 19 points and 7 rebounds and guard David Tudela (192-93) added 15 points respectively for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Estela maintains first position in Group A-A with 16-1 record. Santurtzi lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with seven games lost. Estela will face Valladolid Univ. (#5) on the road in the next round. Santurtzi will play against the league's second-placed Easo in San Sebastian and hope to win that game.
