There was a surprise result in Zaragoza where fourteenth ranked Olivar (5-12) smashed higher ranked JAC Sants (7-10) 91-65 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 12-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 91-65. Olivar outrebounded JAC Sants 46-20 including a 32-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was Czech swingman Simon Pursl (203-97) who scored 23 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Jaime Pradilla (198-1) chipped in 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Four Olivar players scored in double figures. Javier Balastegui (187-97) produced 13 points and point guard Alex Olive (-96) added 11 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Olivar moved-up to thirteenth place in Group C-A, which they share with Mataro. Loser JAC Sants dropped to the ninth position with ten games lost. Olivar will face higher ranked Santfeliuenc (#10) in Sant Feliu in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
