Regular Season Round 20: Valencia II - L Alfas 89-84

Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked L Alfas (7-11) was defeated on the road by third ranked Valencia-2 (11-7) 89-84 on Saturday. However just five-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 89-84. The best player for the winners was forward David Guardia (200-90) who scored 19 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Carlos Cerdan (190-97) chipped in 23 points. American Jalen Nesbitt (198, college: N.Florida) produced 26 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import center Justyn Searle (208, college: Concordia, OR) added 10 points and 14 rebounds respectively for the guests. Five L Alfas players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Valencia-2 have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in Group E, which they share with UCAM Murcia II. Loser L Alfas keeps the ninth position with 11 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
