Regular Season Round 24: Sakarya BSB - Mugla Orman 89-65

Leader Sakarya BSB delivered the twentieth win on Saturday night. This time they crushed 18th ranked Muglaorman (3-21) 89-65 in Sakaraya. Sakarya BSB dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Muglaorman's 24. They outrebounded Muglaorman 46-26 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Sakarya BSB looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was American center Charles Jackson (208-93, college: Tenn Tech) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 15 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field). Forward Tufan Onen (202-89) chipped in a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds. Four Sakarya BSB players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Marvin Jefferson (206-86, college: Idaho) who recorded 15 points and 8 rebounds and Omer Gogus (-89) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sakarya BSB maintains first position with 20-4 record, which they share with Eskisehir Basket. Newly promoted Muglaorman stay dead last with 21 lost games. Sakarya BSB is looking forward to face Gelisim (#14) in Izmir in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Muglaorman will play at home against Akhisar Bld (#11) and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
