Not a big story in a game in Bonn where 15th ranked s Oliver Baskets (5-17) were defeated by seventh ranked Telekom Baskets (13-8) 101-84 on Sunday. Telekom Baskets made 26-of-33 free shots (78.8 percent) during the game. s Oliver Baskets were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for American power forward Julian Gamble (208-89, college: Miami, FL) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Naturalized Cuban swingman Yorman-Polas Bartolo (192-85) helped adding 21 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). Telekom Baskets' coach Predrag Krunic let to play all 12 players saving starting five for next games. American point guard Jake Odum (193-91, college: Indiana St.) responded with 21 points and 4 assists and the other American import Marshawn Powell (201-90, college: Arkansas, agency: Three Eye Sports) scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Telekom Baskets. Defending champion moved-up to sixth place. s Oliver Baskets lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the fifteenth position with 17 games lost. Telekom Baskets will face Walter Tigers (#12) in Tuebingen in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. s Oliver Baskets will play at home against EWE Baskets and hope to win that game.
