Regular Season Round 20: Castelldefels - Sant Adria 91-58

There was a surprise result when twelfth ranked Castelldefels (5-12) outleveled at home higher ranked Sant Adria (9-8) 91-58 on Sunday. The game without a history. Castelldefels led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Sant Adria's 28. They outrebounded Sant Adria 46-31 including a 33-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Castelldefels looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Sant Adria's players. The best player for the winners was forward Jordi Boronat (-85) who scored 17 points. Forward Albert Olmedo (198-92) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Four Castelldefels players scored in double figures. Point guard Ruben Perez (181-94) produced 10 points and swingman Adria Tort (191-90) added 7 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Castelldefels moved-up to tenth place in Group C-B, which they share with Cerdanyola and Andorra II. Newly promoted Sant Adria dropped to the sixth position with eight games lost. Castelldefels will face league's second-placed Quart on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
