Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked AZS PS Gliwice (6-16) was defeated at home by third ranked Polonia Bytom (19-4) 82-78 on Sunday. Polonia Bytom made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game, while AZS PS Gliwice only scored seven points from the stripe. AZS PS Gliwice was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was point guard Tomasz Wrobel (186-85) who scored 12 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Tomasz Gembus (197-87) chipped in 15 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Krzysztof Wasowicz (183-94) who recorded 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Maciej Wasowicz (182-92) added 17 points and 6 assists respectively. Four Polonia Bytom and five AZS PS Gliwice players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Polonia Bytom have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 19-4 record having just three points less than leader Slask Wroclaw. Loser AZS PS Gliwice dropped to the ninth place with 16 games lost.
