Regular Season Round 22: Eurobasket Roma - Latina Basket 80-71

There was a surprise result when eleventh ranked Eurobasket Roma (11-11) won against at home higher ranked Latina Basket (12-10) 80-71 on Sunday. Latina Basket was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American center Tony Easley (206-87, college: Murray St.) had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import point guard Michael Deloach (185-86, college: Norfolk St.) chipped in 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of his seven free throws) during the contest. Four Eurobasket Roma players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Jonathan Arledge (206-91, college: ODU, agency: Two Points) responded with 22 points and 9 rebounds and the former international point guard Marco Passera (180-82) scored 9 points and 7 rebounds. Eurobasket Roma moved-up to tenth place in A2. Loser Latina Basket keeps the fifth position with ten games lost. Eurobasket Roma will face Viola RC (#15) in Reggio Calabria in the next round where they are favorite. Latina Basket will play at home against FCM Ferentino (#13) and hope to win that game.
