Important game to mention about took place in Trapani. Second ranked Tortona (15-7) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 9th ranked Lighthouse TR (11-11) 83-80 on Sunday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. American point guard Phil Greene-IV (187-92, college: St.John's) notched 30 points (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and the other American import point guard Glenn Cosey (183-92, college: E.Kentucky, agency: Three Eye Sports) supported him with 21 points. Tortona's coach Demis Cavina allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 22 points and 6 rebounds by American forward Jeffrey Crockett (201-91, college: Texas Tech) did not help to save the game for Lighthouse TR. The former international power forward Andrea Renzi (207-89, agency: Players Group) added 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Four Lighthouse TR players scored in double figures. Tortona maintains second position in A2 with 15-7 record having just two points less than leader Angelico Biella. Lighthouse TR at the other side dropped to the eleventh place with 11 games lost. Tortona will play against league's leader Angelico Biella on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Lighthouse TR will play against Scafati (#14) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
