There was no surprise when 5th ranked Ternopil-TNEU (10-12) was crushed at home by third ranked Politekhn.Lvov (16-5) 87-67 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 11-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 87-67. Politekhn.Lvov looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Forward Dmytro Khodov (203-87) fired 19 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Forward Maksym Tiutiunyk (190-92) chipped in 15 points. Politekhn.Lvov's coach Yaroslav Zubrytskyy used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Evgen Odazhny (210-92) produced 19 points and 7 rebounds and guard Andrij Shapovalov (187-93) added 15 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. The victory was the ninth consecutive win for Politekhn.Lvov. They maintain third place with 16-5 record having 3 victories less than leader Zolotoi Vek which they share with defeated Ternopil-TNEU. Ternopil-TNEU lost their sixth game in a row. They dropped to the third position with 12 games lost.
